So you’re having a traditional wedding with all of your friends and family but you love the elopement style photos? What if I told you I have a solution. That you could have the best of both worlds?

What does that mean? 😅

It’s basically a session after your wedding where you get all dressed up in your fancy outfits (could be your wedding clothes but doesn’t have to be!) and we head out for some extra pictures! Whether it’s a change of scenery from your wedding day, or a specific light (hello golden hour), this extra session allows for intentional time where all you have to focus on is you as a couple, and getting some great photos.

For Ryan + Jeff, they chose to add on the post wedding session because they had a traditional wedding in town with their family and friends, but they really wanted to incorporate the campground where they spent most of their summers. The location was a few hours out of town and it just wasn’t ideal for them to host their wedding in this special spot. So instead, the day after their ceremony, we headed up the Coeur D’alene river and captured their first day as newlyweds in their favorite spot.

Why should you do this?

✦ You won’t feel rushed for time or have spectators watching you get all gooey with your boo at your reception. A post wedding session is way more laid back and intimate since it’s just you two! The stress levels are at an all time low.

✦ You get photos with different scenery. Maybe your wedding is in the woods but you love the downtown elopement vibe of photos. Or maybe you are getting married in a church but want photos in the mountains.
