You’re planning your wedding and you want to know how to elope at the Utah State Capitol, so let’s talk about it.
First of all, pictures here are stunning. They are classy, elegant, timeless and just give off this expensive or old money feeling. As a photographer, I love the architecture, the symmetry, the stone columns, the archways the white granite. It’s basically impossible to take a bad photo in this space.
OPTION 1: reserve an event space and select which part of the Capitol you’d like to use.
There is also the Wedding Street All Inclusive Package, which includes: Capital Rotunda Rental, Catering, 3-Tier Cake, and Large Floral Package. If you have more questions on how to elope at the Utah State Capitol, you can call at (801) 538-1800 for general inquiries.
If I were going to do a Utah State Capitol elopement, renting out an event space is something I would definitely consider especially if I wanted to invite my friends and family.
OPTION 2: If you are eloping with just the two of you, it’s FREE! There is no fee, no application, and no reservations that need to be made. Just make sure to go early in the day to beat the crowds and don’t forget to check the calendar to see if there are any events going on already.
Things to note- the use of equipment like lighting and props, would be considered commercial photography and requires a permit. They also don’t allow balloons or any bigger decorations so keep your decor to a minimum.
