Believe it or not, I didn’t always imagine myself as a photographer. My photography journey started out after I turned 18 and moved out of moms house. Growing up, we did all of the road trips and outdoorsy, camping stuff, but we didn’t have a ton of money, or family far enough, to really travel outside of Washington. I always had this idea in my head that I wanted to travel to places farther than just a drive; somewhere a plane ride away.  

So I made a goal: save up enough money and start investing in experiences and adventures. 
Being young and just out of high school, I knew one day my memory of the places I traveled to would fade, but I wanted to be able to look back on my traveling days and be reminded of my adventures. Thus led to the purchase of my first dslr camera, a canon 70d. 

My 70d went with me EVERYWHERE: Hawaii, Vegas, Europe. 
After a while, I discovered that, although I enjoyed capturing these BEAUTIFUL places I was traveling to, what I liked even MORE was taking pictures of the people I was with. I would go through my camera roll at the end of a trip and have this big, dorky smile on my face when I got to see my friends and family posing, being there authentic selves and just having a good time. (Spoiler, I still have this dorky smile whenever I go through your guys’ photos. Just me. Home alone. Smiling at my computer screen. In a dark room. Not in a creepy way…)

Fast-forward to today, I now have a passion for serving others by capturing their precious moments. My goal is to take images that make you feel something. I want to transport you back in time and give you back those feelings and emotion that accompanied your memories.
